Princess Eleanor

Today, Thursday, 17, the results of a survey conducted between June 1 and 8, 2021, the result of a partnership between Vanitatis magazine and IMOP Insights, reveal, among other things, the level of approval that includes each of the six main elements of the Spanish royal family: the king Philip VI, the Queen LeticiaPrincess heiress leonor, to infanta Sophiaand honorary kings, Juan Carlos e Sophia.

In terms of approval, Princess Leonor came in third with 62%, behind her father Felipe VI, and grandmother Queen Sofia, who both have the same percentage of approval, 64%. The Princess of Asturias is bested by her mother, Letizia, who has only 54% approval.

In this poll, a representative sample of the population was used, and thus it was found, in line with what would be expected, that the royal family is significantly more popular among respondents with political leanings to the right than those who vote for left. Indeed, while among the electors on the right, all the monarchs had approval – with the King in first place, at 85%, Queen Sofia in second, at 81% and again Leonor in third, at 78%, followed by Infanta Sofia ( 74%), Leticia (67%) and Juan Carlos (56%) – of the left, only two royals have approval.

Among these figures are the Princess of Asturias, as well as her grandmother Queen Sofia who received approval with 50%, followed by Infanta Sofia with 48%, Felipe VI with 47% and finally Letizia and Juan Carlos. 43% and 17%, respectively. The values โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹of the honorary king can be explained by his removal from the royal house and his move to Abu Dhabi, after he saw his name involved in some scandals, such as the case of some debts that he had to the tax departments.

In addition, compared to the survey conducted two years ago, Spaniards consider Princess Leonor to be more willing to take on the role of heiress than she was in 2019. If only 45.2% at that time believed that they had received the necessary steps to form the future queen, their percentage grew Currently, it is stable at 72.2%.
