The Vodafone Business Conference returns after a year of waiting with its ‘Extended Reality’ theme. It takes place at Palácio da Bolsa, in Porto, this Thursday. You can watch live broadcasts on JN, DN, TSF and DV websites.

The conference focuses on Extended Reality (XR) – which combines augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) technologies, and will allow us to move into an even more exciting future.

Throughout the morning, topics ranging from how companies can prepare for the XR era to the sectors that will first feel the impact will be discussed.

The conference begins at 9.45 am, with a welcome session from Mario Vaz, CEO of Vodafone Portugal.

At 10am the first guest will be speaking, Jeremy Dalton, President of Metaverse Technologies at PwC, UK. A coffee break follows at 10.45 am. Then, at 11:15 a.m. Alex Roll, founder and VR director of virtual reality studio Cats Are Not Peas, introduced himself.

At 11:45 a.m. Elsa Justino, Executive Board Member of Centro Hospitalar de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (EPE) will take the stage. The final speaker is Ricardo Amaral, a physician specializing in intensive care at the Hospital Center Terrace Au Montes and Alto d’Oro (EPE), who will be present at 12:00. The conference ends at 12.40 pm.

The Vodafone Business Conference – Extended Reality takes place on May 19, in Palácio da Bolsa, Porto, and can be seen live on the JN, DN, TSF and DV websites linked to the initiative.
