Without any kind of precedent and in just one day, Dubai received more than twice the annual average rainfall in the United Arab Emirates.
Storms of this level of intensity are unheard of in this part of the world, and there are reports of public warnings being issued to warn Dubai residents.
However, it proved that Dubai's infrastructure was not prepared for the largest amount of rainfall recorded since 1949.
Roads, garages and some car dealerships are in a condition that requires time to return to its original condition.
