F1, Canadian Grand Prix: McLaren in-depth updates for races in Austria, UK and Hungary

Light at the end of the tunnel for McLaren? The Woking team continues to work on the update package, and while a few (few) have been implemented in Canada, there are still a few more on the way for the next races. Andrea Stella explained the team’s plan, which will showcase several new features.

The team director pointed to the next three races as stages of updates, which will give the team a practically new car:

“At the beginning of the season, we realized that the car needed a basic makeover, so this makeover is very interesting,” he told reporters. “It will be very noticeable. We had to redesign some parts under the bodywork. That’s why it took us a while to deliver these updates. So I would say the whole car.

We don’t have high-speed corners here, but there’s a lot of traction at low speeds, so it can be a bit difficult.
