England’s World Cup team has left its home base in St George’s Park to travel to Qatar.

The Three Lions will leave for the controversial Birmingham tournament on a plane called “Rainbow”.

Among the hosts’ criticisms are the state’s repressive laws and treatment of gay, bisexual, and transgender people. The rainbow is a symbol of LGBT+ pride.

England captain Harry Kane is one of several national leaders who plan to join the “OneLove” campaign during the tournament to oppose discrimination.

“We have shown our support for the inclusion in several ways, including wearing the OneLove badge during the tournament,” a spokesman for the Football Association told the Palestinian Authority News Agency.

It is understood that the FA did not choose the plane, but he is happy to fly the plane. The flight chartered by Virgin Atlantic airline, which has no commercial relationship with the Football Association.

England are expected to touch down in Qatar at around 8pm local time and arrive at the team’s base at around 9pm (6pm in the UK).
