Hungary’s Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, and his Polish counterpart, Mateusz Morawiecki, on Tuesday expressed their support for VOX’s candidate for Spain’s early legislative elections, Santiago Abascal, through a video released by the far-right party. In a video of less than a minute and a half published by VOX, Viktor Orbán stressed the importance of “defining Spain’s course”.

“It’s up to you Sunday to decide which path Spain will follow. Raise the flags high, fight for victory and show that the future belongs to the patriots,” exclaimed the hard-line nationalist before saying goodbye. “Long live Santiago, long live VOX and long live Spain.”

For his part, the Polish Prime Minister warned the voters of “potential risks and dangers for the present and future of Europe,” through the video clip he published, which is less than two minutes. He concluded, “I wish the Spaniards to elect those parties that respect the past, respect traditions and look wisely at the present like VOX.”

The latest polls for the early Spanish legislative elections confirmed, on Monday, with only one exception in dozens of studies, the victory of the Popular Party and the placing of the right-wing and far-right group on the brink of an absolute majority.

Spanish law prohibits the posting of ballot boxes in the five days prior to elections, so those that were known on Monday will be the last before the legislative elections on July 23, next Sunday. Only one referendum gives victory to the Socialist Party (PSOE), to the incumbent Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez: the elections for the Centro de Investigações Sociológicas (CIS) General Assembly.

The CIS expected the Socialist Workers’ Party to be the most voted on Sunday with 32.6% of the vote, followed by the Labor Party (right) with 30.8%, the far-left platform Somar with 14.9% and VOX (the far left). by 11.8%.

Unlike the CIS, all other known polls on Monday gave victory to the People’s Party, but without an outright majority, as they had throughout the pre-election and campaign period. The poll published today by the newspaper “El País”, from the company 40 decibels, gave 32.9% of the vote to the People’s Party and 13.5% to the VOX party, with the two parties being able to elect between 173 and 179 deputies, with a majority. The absolute is reached with 176.
