EduVoyage has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with Space Camp Türkiye aimed at expanding access to immersive space and STEM education programmes for students across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The agreement appoints EduVoyage, an ITL World company, as the sole representative of Space Camp Türkiye throughout the GCC, marking a significant development in the region’s growing focus on future-ready education and experiential learning.

The partnership comes as Gulf nations continue to accelerate investment in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education as part of broader economic diversification strategies. Governments across the region, particularly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, have placed increasing emphasis on innovation, advanced technology and space exploration initiatives designed to support long-term knowledge economies.

Expanding Access to Space Education

Under the partnership, students from across the GCC will gain access to Space Camp Türkiye’s internationally recognised astronaut-training simulations and STEM-focused learning experiences.

Located in Izmir within the Aegean Free Zone, Space Camp Türkiye is one of only two licensed space camps in the world. The organisation has built a global reputation for delivering immersive programmes that replicate real-world astronaut training and mission control operations.

Participants take part in a range of activities including zero-gravity simulations, engineering challenges, teamwork exercises and problem-solving missions designed to develop leadership, collaboration and critical-thinking skills.

The collaboration combines Space Camp Türkiye’s specialist infrastructure with EduVoyage’s regional network and expertise in educational travel and student mobility.

EduVoyage will oversee outreach efforts across schools, educational institutions and youth organisations throughout the GCC, while also managing recruitment, travel coordination and on-ground support for participating students and families.

Focus on Future Skills

Rafeeq Mohammed said the partnership reflects growing demand for educational experiences that prepare young people for future industries.

“We are proud to partner exclusively with Space Camp Türkiye to bring one of the most inspiring and impactful educational experiences in the world to students across the GCC. At EduVoyage, we believe learning goes far beyond the classroom. This collaboration allows us to offer a program that challenges students to think critically, work collaboratively and dream ambitiously. It is not just about space – it is about shaping future innovators, leaders & problem-solvers.”

The initiative aligns closely with regional ambitions to strengthen STEM capabilities and encourage greater youth participation in sectors linked to aerospace, robotics and emerging technologies.

The GCC’s increasing interest in space-related industries has been highlighted in recent years by projects such as the UAE’s Mars mission and continued investment in domestic research and innovation programmes.

Strengthening Regional Engagement

Halime Büyükyüksel said the partnership would help deepen the organisation’s engagement with the Gulf region.

“Partnering with EduVoyage represents an exciting opportunity to deepen our engagement with the GCC region, which has shown remarkable commitment to advancing science and space exploration. EduVoyage’s expertise and trusted relationships within the education sector make them the ideal partner to help us reach more students and deliver life-changing experiences. Together, we aim to inspire curiosity, build confidence and nurture a passion for STEM among young people.”

In addition to student camps, both organisations said they are exploring opportunities for educator development programmes, customised school group experiences and collaborations with regional academic institutions.

The wider aim is to integrate experiential STEM learning more directly into mainstream educational pathways across the GCC.

Growing Demand for Experiential Learning

Industry observers have noted rising demand among Gulf-based families and schools for international programmes that combine academic enrichment with practical learning experiences.

EduVoyage has positioned itself as a specialist provider of international education travel programmes, partnering with institutions globally to deliver learning opportunities that combine cultural immersion with academic development.

Meanwhile, Space Camp Türkiye, an initiative of ESBAS (Aegean Free Zone Development & Operating Co.), has welcomed participants from more than 60 countries and continues to expand its international reach through partnerships with educational organisations worldwide.

The companies said the agreement is intended to empower a new generation of learners across the GCC by giving students direct exposure to hands-on STEM education and encouraging interest in future-focused careers linked to science, innovation and space exploration.
