Recent titles in the WRC series haven’t been doing well, and this is no different with the new era of the series at the hands of EA. However, EA Sports WRC continues to receive support and will get New season next week, plus DLC for the coming months.
In the Official website of the gameElectronic Arts reveals what to expect for the rest of 2024 and gives a glimpse of what’s to come next year. The first new feature to arrive is Season 6 of the Rally Pass on July 30, which brings new skins, outfits, and more for free.
“Based on player feedback we’ve received over the past year, we’ve made several changes to the Rally Pass to improve the experience for all players.“EA said,” he said.
EA Sports WRC will have its first DLC
In October, EA Sports WRC will receive a season expansion, keeping players up to date with what’s happening in the real-world rally season. New locations, tracks, cars, liveries and more will be added to the game. This content will be paid for.
That same month, EA’s title will get a full release containing these seasons, as well as two additional downloadable content (DLC) that will be released between this year and 2025. This paid DLC will be themed and will bring more cars, stages, current locations, and more.
EA Sports WRC developers are also working on the game’s championship, with online qualifiers and personal finals with the best players competing for the championship title.
EA Sports WRC arrived in November 2023 and is the first game in the series developed by Codemasters with Electronic Arts studio. The title was not well received, amassing over 6,000 ratings on Steam, but was approved by less than 65% of players, despite being the best-rated title in the franchise by the press.
Player complaints relate to poor optimization, even months after its release, anti-cheat even for those who want to play the single-player campaign, lack of support for the latest version of the Steam Deck (and Linux), and the fact that the game is from EA, which in itself is a reason that arouses negative feelings among players nowadays.
In addition to PC, EA Sports WRC is also available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, which will also receive the news mentioned here.
