Herbs with medicinal properties can be beneficial for all health conditions and fat accumulation in the liver is no different. Recent studies show that some types of tea play an essential role in the proper functioning of the body.

This is shown by research conducted by Penn State University, which found that the combination of extracts Green tea Decaffeinated coffee associated with physical exercise reduced fat accumulation in the livers of rats by 75%.

In the first phase of the study, which lasted about 16 weeks, the mice were put on a high-fat diet.

Whereas in the second phase, those who drank green tea and did regular physical activity showed only 25% less fat deposits in their livers compared to the control group of mice.

Another group of rodents that were treated only with green tea extract, or only with exercise, the result of the first group was lower than the first group and had about 50% less fat in the liver than the control group.

Mice treated with either green tea extract alone or exercise alone had 50% more fat in their livers than the control group.

Research published in Journal of Nutritional BiochemistryThought to have a similar benefit in humans.

What is liver fat? What are the symptoms?

One of the most common liver diseases, the condition is known as “fatty liver,” also called hepatic steatosis or fatty liver disease.

Factors such as excessive alcohol consumption, obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, insulin resistance, and a high-fat diet are particularly associated with the causes of the disease.

Without noticing significant symptoms in the early stage of the disease, the accumulation of fat in the liver can cause fatigue, abdominal discomfort, loss of appetite, unexplained weight loss and weakness.
