Dengue in Araksa: As cases increase, city council interacts with disease control committee | mining triangle

Among the actions previously identified by the commission are: Mobilizing residents through clean-up efforts, doing work with health educators targeting schools and businesses, in addition to educational campaigns that are disseminated through the municipality’s communication channels Araksa.

In addition, a heavy-duty insecticide spray cart, known as a “smoke”, will continue to operate in the city throughout April.

According to city hall, Araksa was recorded 134 cases of the disease as of Thursday. This number is more than 5 times higher than all records for 2021, when 26 cases were reported.

Leninha Severo explains that last year, during the height of the epidemic, people stayed home more, and therefore were more alert to the outbreak that could eventually arise on their land.

The neighborhoods of Santo Antonio, Novo Santo Antonio, Solaris, Jardim Europa 4 and Boa Vista 2 recorded the highest number of dengue mosquito outbreaks.
