Brazil recorded 38,902 confirmed cases and 761 deaths from the Covid-19 virus during the past 24 hours, according to a bulletin issued late on Monday (21) by the Ministry of Health, where 179,66831 cases and 502,586 deaths were recorded in total.

According to the bulletin, 90.7% of those infected with the emerging coronavirus, which is equivalent to 16,288,392, recovered. There are still 1,175,853 cases pending.

The numbers are generally lower on Sunday and Monday due to the smaller number of health team staff feeding the data. The results on Tuesdays tend to be higher by sending the accumulated data.

São Paulo is the leading federal unit in the number of cases (3587646) and in deaths (12,258). In a number of cases, the southeastern state follows Minas Gerais with 1,739929, and Parana (1,217.064). The states with the lowest number of registrations are Acre (84,918), Roraima (109,702) and Amaba (115,771). Among the deaths, Rio de Janeiro was the deputy command, with 54,267 deaths, followed by Minas Gerais with 44,583 deaths. The states with the lowest number of deaths are Roraima (1704), Acre (1732) and Amapá (1803).
