The House Health Committee approved a proposal that equalizes, for legal and pay purposes, the activities of health surveillance agents, community health agents (ACS) and endemic disease control agents (ACEs).
Authored by Rep. Wilson Santiago (Republicanos-PB), Bill 1126/21 changes files Law 11.350 / 06, which currently only regulates the action of ACS and ACEs. As a result, the bottom line for these categories was set at a minimum wage (2,640 R$).
In favor of the text, the rapporteur, Deputy Marks Beltrau (PP-AL), opted for the offer substitutionwith the aim of better defining the powers of the health monitoring worker.
The parliamentarian emphasized this by saying: “Thus, we make it clear that these agents maintain their powers in the health monitoring system, but always in the field of health monitoring.”
The approved text defines health monitoring as a set of procedures capable of removing, reducing or preventing health risks and interfering with health problems arising from the environment, the production and circulation of goods, and the provision of services of concern to health.
According to the text, the activity covers monitoring of health-related consumer goods, including all stages and processes, from production to consumption; and monitoring the provision of health services.
Procedure
The project will be analyzed in categorical character, by the Finance and Tax Committees; Constitution, justice and citizenship.
