The strike, called by the National Federation of Railway Sector Workers (SNTSF), which includes workers from CP, IP and subsidiaries (IP Telecom, IP Património and IP Engenharia), began at 00:00 today and continues until 24:00 on 31 August.
On Friday, the Communist Party warned of possible trading disruptions during the nationwide strike.
CB added that “no minimum services were issued by the arbitral tribunal of the Economic and Social Council regarding this strike.”
At the same time, strikes are also underway in the IP, “which may cause disturbances in railway traffic, at the national level until September 15,” the Communist Party stated.
Intellectual property workers on Wednesday began a partial strike lasting four hours a day, expected to affect the movement of long-distance and regional trains.
The partial strike will start from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day until August 8, when the overtime strike will continue until September 15.
