For Burberry, the benefits of this deal are manifold. Thus, the brand will ensure its supply, enhance its production capacity of technical jackets and integrate environmentally responsible manufacturing methods into its value chain.

In fact, all of Mode’s electricity use in its facilities comes from renewable sources, and the company is on track to achieve carbon neutrality at its Turin site by 2023.

This new location “will complement Burberry’s historic mills in Yorkshire, UK, where it will continue to weave trench coats and produce traditional garments.” trench coat; for the British luxury brand, and the investments will continue.”

The transaction takes place after the successful merger of center Burberry leather goods in Florence, Italy.

Once the deal closes, which is expected later this year, about 70 Torino style employees will join the ranks of Burberry.

Jonathan Akeroyd, CEO of Burberry, said: “This strategic investment represents another important step in realizing the full potential of our coat category. Thus, we will enhance our production capacity, strengthen our solid base in the UK, and be able to better control the quality, delivery and environmental responsibility of our products. ”
