Blinken’s son dresses up as Zelensky for Halloween party

Hey US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken was surprised with the costumes he chose for his children, at a Halloween event organized by US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, at the White House, in 2019, on Monday night.

Blinken decided to dress his four-year-old son in a dark green jacket, making him resemble Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In turn, her three-year-old daughter wore yellow and blue, the colors of the Ukrainian flag. (You can see the photos in the gallery above)

In addition to his children, the US Secretary of State was also accompanied by his wife.

According to the North American press, Blinken has ties to Ukraine. The diplomat’s ancestors, like Zelensky, were Ukrainian Jews.

At the event, Jill Biden distributed children’s books, while Joe Biden gave candy to children to celebrate Halloween. The initiative targeted public school students and families connected to the military.

About eight thousand guests are expected to attend this event, according to the White House.

This year’s holiday theme was reading, so the White House was decorated with famous characters from children’s literature and horror stories. The topic was chosen by the First Lady, who has a career spanning more than thirty years as an educator.

It should be noted that the US Secretary of State defended today before the Senate the continued granting of billions of dollars to support Ukraine and Israel, to confront Russia and Iran.
