Berko Fields Festival has revealed plans for a 400-drone aerial display above Berkhamsted as part of its inaugural three-day music and entertainment programme in Hertfordshire this September.
The synchronised drone shows will take place during the headline performances on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September 2026 at Berkhamsted Cricket Club. Previously promoted as a “surprise immersive experience”, the spectacle will see hundreds of drones rise behind the festival’s main stage and create large-scale formations choreographed to music.
Running from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September, Berko Fields is being positioned as a major new addition to the Chilterns festival calendar, combining electronic music, orchestral performances, family entertainment and street food across three individually themed days.
Berko Fields Drone Show to Feature 400 Aircraft
The aerial display will begin at 22:10 on both Friday and Saturday and is scheduled to last approximately 12 minutes.
On Friday, the drones will accompany the closing stages of Fish56Octagon’s headline performance during The House Takeover. Saturday’s display will be synchronised with Symphonica Orchestra as the ensemble approaches the finale of its Ibiza Classics performance.
Festival organisers say the 400 drones will create vivid three-dimensional shapes and images above the venue, with formations shifting and evolving in time with the music.
The setting at Berkhamsted Cricket Club, surrounded by the darker skies of the Chilterns, is expected to provide a distinctive backdrop for the illuminated aerial performance.
The addition represents a significant production feature for a new regional festival, with drone displays increasingly being used at major entertainment and public events as an alternative or complement to conventional pyrotechnics.
Fish56Octagon and Symphonica Orchestra Lead Music Programme
Berko Fields has assembled a programme spanning electronic, house, garage and family-focused entertainment.
Friday’s The House Takeover will be led by Fish56Octagon, alongside DJ SKT and other electronic music performers.
Saturday, billed as Local Legends Meet Global Greatness, will centre on Symphonica Orchestra performing Ibiza Classics. BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard is also included in the programme, bringing another established name from the UK electronic music sector to Hertfordshire.
The festival will shift towards younger audiences and families on Sunday with The Big Kids’ Festival, presented by Raver Tots.
So Solid Crew and Artful Dodger will headline the final day, extending the weekend’s programme into UK garage and dance music.
Three-Day Festival Targets Hertfordshire Entertainment Market
Each day of Berko Fields has been designed to operate as a standalone event, allowing visitors to choose programmes according to their preferred music and entertainment.
Beyond the main stages, organisers are placing food and hospitality at the centre of the festival experience. A curated selection of local street-food businesses will operate at the venue, with options including smashed burgers and sourdough pizza.
The combination of headline performers, family programming and the newly announced drone production underlines the scale of Berko Fields’ ambitions as it seeks to establish a regular place on Hertfordshire’s events calendar.
Berkhamsted’s location northwest of London also puts the festival within reach of audiences across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the wider capital region.
Berko Fields Ticket Prices and VIP Packages
Tickets remain on sale for individual festival days as well as the complete weekend.
Friday, which is restricted to visitors aged 18 and over, starts from £25 plus booking fees. A £75 VIP option includes a meal token, a glass of Prosecco and access to private toilets.
Saturday is open to all ages, with tickets starting at £5 for children aged 11 and under, £10 for those aged 12 to 17 and £37 for adults, excluding booking fees. VIP tickets are available from £75.
Sunday is also an all-ages event. Babies aged up to 12 months can attend free, while tickets start from £18 for visitors aged one to 16 and £20 for adults.
Weekend admission starts from £94.05 plus booking fees.
