New September festival to bring leading dance artists, orchestral performances and family entertainment to Berkhamsted

A new three-day festival is set to make its debut in Hertfordshire this September, with Berko Fields promising a packed programme of live music, family entertainment and street food at Berkhamsted Cricket Club.

Taking place from 11 to 13 September 2026, the festival is being billed as the county’s largest event of its kind, bringing together internationally recognised electronic music acts, orchestral performances, local DJs and family-focused attractions across three themed days.

Organisers say the event has been designed to offer a different experience each day, appealing to dance music fans, families and local communities while showcasing the scenic backdrop of the Chiltern Hills.

Opening Day Celebrates House Music

The festival begins on Friday, 11 September, with The House Takeover, an evening dedicated to house music and dance anthems.

The opening programme will feature performances from regional DJs before headline appearances by viral dance music personality Fish56Octagon and chart-topping DJ DJ S.K.T, delivering a night of electronic music as the festival gets underway.

Organisers describe the opening event as a celebration of classic house sounds and contemporary dance music, accompanied by large-scale production and lighting.

Saturday Combines Local Talent With Ibiza Classics

Saturday’s programme, titled “Local Legends Meet Global Greatness,” will place a spotlight on Berkhamsted’s local music scene before shifting to larger headline performances later in the day.

A key attraction will be Symphonica Orchestra, which is scheduled to perform a live orchestral set featuring well-known Ibiza dance classics. The evening will conclude with a headline performance from BBC Radio 1 DJ Danny Howard, one of the UK’s best-known dance music broadcasters.

The combination of orchestral arrangements and electronic music is expected to form one of the festival’s signature experiences.

Family Entertainment Closes the Weekend

The festival concludes on Sunday, 13 September, with a family-oriented programme presented in partnership with Raver Tots.

Branded as “The Big Kids’ Festival,” the final day will include activities for children and adults alongside live performances from several established names in UK garage and dance music.

Headline performers include So Solid Crew, featuring Romeo, Lisa Maffia and Dan Da Man, alongside Artful Dodger, known for the hit single Re-Rewind with Craig David.

The line-up also includes drum and bass and jungle artists Nicky Blackmarket x Shabba D and Mollie Collins x Leanne Louise, with organisers aiming to create an atmosphere suitable for families while retaining the energy of a music festival.

Food and Festival Experience

Alongside the music programme, Berko Fields will feature a range of independent food vendors serving a variety of cuisines throughout the weekend.

Visitors will be able to choose from gourmet burgers by Smiths of Bourton, chicken dishes from Chicken George, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern meals from Emilios Street Food, sourdough pizzas from Dough with the Flow, and confectionery from local business Sammys Sweets.

Organisers have also indicated that additional attractions, including an immersive experience, will be announced ahead of the festival.

Tickets Now Available

Berko Fields will take place at Berkhamsted Cricket Club on Castle Hill, offering festival-goers views across the surrounding Chiltern countryside.

Tickets are now on sale, including weekend passes and VIP packages. Pricing starts at £25 for Friday, while Saturday and Sunday offer a range of ticket options for adults and children. Weekend tickets are available from £94.05, excluding booking fees.

With a programme spanning electronic music, orchestral performances, family entertainment and local food vendors, Berko Fields aims to establish itself as a major addition to Hertfordshire’s live events calendar and a new destination for music fans across the region.
