A new music festival in Hertfordshire is preparing to welcome electronic music fans for a three-day programme of DJs, live performances and large-scale drone displays, with organisers releasing final guidance for visitors ahead of the event.

Berko Fields, taking place from Friday 11 September to Sunday 13 September beside the historic Berkhamsted Castle, has published its first “Field Notes”, providing festival-goers with information including set times, a site map and rules covering what can be brought into the venue.

The festival will feature headline performances from DJ S.K.T, Fish56Octagon, BBC Radio 1 DJ Danny Howard and Symphonica Orchestra, while Sunday will see Raver Tots take over the site with a programme aimed at families and dance music fans.

DJ S.K.T and Fish56Octagon Lead Friday Programme

Friday’s programme will focus heavily on electronic and dance music, with DJ S.K.T scheduled to take to the decks at 7.30pm.

Fish56Octagon will then headline with a two-hour set, forming one of the major attractions of the opening night.

Organisers are also planning a 400-drone aerial display towards the end of Fish56Octagon’s performance. The show will be choreographed to the music, combining the headline set with a large-scale visual display above the Hertfordshire festival site.

The drone production is expected to span around 160 metres across the sky, adding a distinctive visual component to the new event.

Danny Howard and Symphonica Orchestra Headline Saturday

Saturday’s programme will bring another major electronic music line-up to Berko Fields.

BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard is scheduled to begin his set at 6.30pm, performing for around 90 minutes before Symphonica Orchestra takes over for a two-hour performance built around Ibiza club classics.

Second 400-Drone Show Planned

A second 400-drone aerial display will accompany the closing stages of Symphonica Orchestra’s Saturday performance.

The combination of orchestral arrangements, electronic music and synchronised aerial technology is intended to provide one of the festival’s signature experiences.

The organisers are positioning Berko Fields as a varied music event rather than a conventional electronic festival, combining DJs with orchestral interpretations of club tracks and family-focused programming across the weekend.

Raver Tots Takes Over Berko Fields on Sunday

Sunday will shift the emphasis towards an all-ages audience as the award-winning Raver Tots hosts the final day.

The programme will feature guest appearances from So Solid Crew’s Lisa Maffia, Artful Dodger and Nicky Blackmarket, alongside other performers.

The Sunday format is designed to bring UK garage, dance and rave music to a family festival setting, widening the audience beyond the traditional late-night electronic music crowd.

Award-winning presenter and content creator Faris Rai will also be at Berko Fields throughout the weekend. Ahead of the festival, Rai produced a video explaining how visitors can travel to the site.

Festival Publishes Visitor Information and Ticket Details

With thousands of visitors expected to travel to Berkhamsted, organisers have published practical information through the festival’s social media channels. The guidance includes performance schedules, the site layout and details of permitted items.

The location beside Berkhamsted Castle gives the festival a distinctive Hertfordshire setting, combining a major contemporary music programme with one of the area’s best-known historic landmarks.

Tickets remain available, including VIP packages. Friday admission starts from £29 and is restricted to those aged 18 and over. Saturday adult tickets start from £41, while Sunday adult admission begins at £27, with both weekend days open to all ages.

Four-for-three discounted packages are available across all three days. Weekend passes start from £55 for two days, while a three-day ticket is priced from £94.

With headline DJs, orchestral club classics, UK garage performers and two large-scale drone displays, Berko Fields is seeking to establish itself as a new fixture on Hertfordshire’s festival calendar during its inaugural weekend.
