Since August last year, Western nations have imposed a series of political and economic sanctions against the allies of President Alexander Lukashenko’s regime. Lukashenko announced the ban during a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Union’s High Council, according to state news agency FELTA. The move is another sign of the Russian president’s dependence on the government’s only key partner.
According to the politician, Belarus imported about $ 530 million worth of goods in the first 10 months of 2021.
Lukashenko promised that there would be no shortage in the country.

Fresh pork, salami and sausages in general, fruits, nuts and salt are the main products affected. (ANSA).
