The Milwaukee Bucks had 42 points for Giannis Antetokounmue last night and an excellent last tip to beat the Boston Celtics 103-101 in Milwaukee.
This brings the defending champions to 2-1 in the Eastern Conference semi-finals and has another home game on Monday.
The Celtics started the fourth inning 12 points behind, but ended up turning the score 100-99 less than two minutes from the end. Giannis then scored two points (raising it to 101-100 for the Bucks), Jaylen Brown didn’t score in the answer and Jrue Holiday lifted it for the Bucks (103-100).
On the last throw, the Celtics had a chance to win, but the end turned out to be dramatic: Marcus Smart made a mistake and made the first free throw (101-103). The only chance to try to win would be to miss the second on purpose and try a basket that was worth more, so shoot the board. The ball was in the air. Horford managed to shove it into the basket, but within a few hundredths of a second the clock was already beeping.

In the other game of the night, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies by 142-112 in Game Three of the Western Conference semifinals in San Francisco. Stephen Curry was the Warriors’ top scorer with 30 points. Jordan Paul scored 27. Ja Morant scored 34 – including a midfield hat-trick on the edge of the first half, but he hurt his right knee lately and worries about Game 4.
