This Wednesday, Francisco Neto issued an invitation to attend two warm-up matches for the women’s national team, against Haiti and Costa Rica, on November 11 and 15.

Kelsey Araujo, a 24-year-old Le Havre player, was the good news in the squad, having already represented Portugal in Group B (3 matches in October and November last year). Also of note are the return of Catarina Amado and Agata Pimenta.

The two meetings are considered training for the playoff match to reach the World Cup, in February 2023, in New Zealand. Portugal will initially hold a preparatory meeting with the host team, and then face, on February 22, the winner of the Thailand-Cameroon match to try to qualify for the unprecedented World Cup.

Portugal will play Haiti on November 11 (3:00 pm) at José Martins Vieira Municipal Stadium in Cova da Piedade. Next comes Costa Rica on the 15th (6 pm) at the Alverca Stadium.

Below is the list of candidates:

A goal keeper: Ruti Costa (Benfica), Ines Pereira (Servette), Patricia Moraes (Braga)
