Electric vehicles and their charging stations (wall box), delivery began at the end of July to health centres in 16 municipalities in the Algarve region, and is expected to take place during September.

These vehicles will enable health workers to travel to provide care to the population, significantly improving the response of multidisciplinary teams in primary health care, integrated continuing care, palliative care and home support in health centers in the region, bringing professionals closer to the people. At the same time, reducing local disparities, making access to health care closer and more relevant to the needs of the population.

“It is the first electric fleet that the institution has acquired and we are very happy to be able to provide better working conditions for professionals who provide care directly to people by committing to sustainable mobility and improving the response of the National Health Service (SNS) in primary health care in our region”, highlights Paulo Morgado, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ARS Algarve.
