aArnold Schwarzenegger remembers the moment he revealed to his family that he was having an extramarital affair.
In Netflix’s new documentary series, “Arnold,” the 75-year-old actor talks about his confession to his wife, Maria Shriver, and children, about his relationship with his maid, Mildred Baena, who gave birth to a son. Youssef Bina, 25 years old.
“Maria and I went to couples therapy once a week,” says the actor, noting that at one of the sessions the wife applied. “I think today Maria wants to know if I am Joseph’s father. My heart stopped and then I told the truth,” he says.
“Yes, Maria, Joseph is my son,” he admitted at the time. “I was devastated after that. I had an affair in 1996. At first I didn’t really know [que Joseph era seu filho]. As he got older it became clear to me, and then the question was how to keep it a secret.”
Schwarzenegger was “reluctant to talk about this, because every time he did it it seemed like he was opening a wound.”

And he affirms: “I have to live with this for the rest of my life. People will remember my successes, but also my mistakes. This is a big mistake. I made mistakes in my professional life, but this has a completely different dimension”, .
Recall that the Hollywood actor and Shriver have four children in common: Catherine, Christina, Patrick and Christopher.
