oh 12th ANIMAGE – Pernambuco International Animation Festival announced the winners of its competitive exhibition. Picture “Salvation Has No Name”Joseph Wallace from the United Kingdom was selected as the best short film by the jury and won the Animage Grand Prize.


Joseph also won the Best Director category for a short film. “Cenas da Infância” by Kimberly Palermo won the award for Best Brazilian Short Film. French film “Écorchée” by Joachim Herris won the Audience Award, winning both Best Art Direction and Best Sound.


In this edition, the award has the unprecedented collaboration of Sesc Pernambuco. Winners of all categories receive trophies and the main prize is worth R$ 4 thousand.

Best Screenplay: Claude Delafosse and Jeanne Delafosse, “L’Effet de Mes Rides” (France)
Best Art Direction: “Écorchée” by Joachim Herisse (France)
Best Technique: “Of Wood” by Owen Claude (USA)
Best Sound: “Écorchée” by Joachim Herisse (France)
ABCA Jorge Pereira Award – Best Brazilian Short Film: “Mu Nom e Malum” by Luisa Copetti (Brazil)
