Volvo cars equipped with Android Auto have already taken advantage of the Google Assistant. From now on, it will be possible to control certain functions of your car from another device by integrating the voice assistant (smartphone, speaker, etc.), such as heating or locking the car. However, some sensitive functions, especially unlocking, will require two-factor authentication.

In addition, Volvo and Polestar have announced a partnership with Qualcomm. Thus, manufacturers’ upcoming electric vehicles will be based on Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms technologies. Thus, its infotainment system, still based on Android Automotive, will be twice as fast.
