The collapse, for reasons yet unknown, occurred late Wednesday in a building of about 20 apartments located in the Font Nova de Peñíscola metropolitan area.
According to municipal sources, El Pais reported, it was not an explosion and the building is not very old, so any problem with the condition of the structure or the foundations due to deterioration over time is ruled out.
On site there is a huge apparatus of rescue teams, including teams with search dogs.
The urbanization in which the landslide occurred is large and is located next to the Serra d’Irta, an area of second homes and holiday apartments that usually have many residents at this time of summer vacation.
