ShA 29-year-old man underwent surgery that cost $175,000, or about $162,000, to lengthen his legs by 15 centimeters.

According to the New York Post, the Colombian wants to be 1.80 meters tall.

“I am not a dwarf, nor am I the tallest,” Everson Kosio explained in a video he shared on Instagram, where he has 11 million followers.

“Yes, legs are nice, but I hate them. I recognize some parts of my body, and I have some money to change them.”He continued in the video that was circulated about two and a half months ago.

The surgery involved involves breaking the bone, inserting a metal rod, and using an external device to slowly stretch the area.

“As the space between the ends of the bone opens, the body continues to produce new tissue into the space until the desired length of bone is created,” the North American Press reported, citing the Hospital for Special Surgery.

According to the publication, the gap is usually one millimeter per day – which means that this “lengthening” process lasted six months, during which the man reached 1.80 meters in length.

But this process does not end here, as physical therapy is now being carried out, until the patient gets used to the new leg length. Kosio admitted to his 28 million followers on Instagram and TikTok that the surgery was purely “cosmetic,” denying that there was any problem with these members.

He explained: “Two years ago, I had a problem with my legs and I didn’t want to talk about it because it was very personal. But one of the things that had the biggest impact on me was stretching my legs.”

Cosio’s surgeon assured him that he would be able to return to his normal life, including walking, exercising and jumping.
