João Lamoza used his Instagram account, on August 28, to tell us that he is battling testicular cancer, as over here We count.

After the diagnosis, the 34-year-old actor and artistic director had already been accepted into the IPO, run, and this Wednesday, September 7, was on SIC’s “Júlia,” talking to Júlia Pinheiro about this whole process.

“I think it’s one of the worst news a person can receive in their life.”He began by saying about the diagnosis.

Joao Lamosa then revealed that he had discovered a “tumor” in one of the testicles, admitting that, at that time, he had entered the “denial phase”.

“I was taking a normal shower, and I felt a lump in my right testicle and thought, ‘It couldn’t be anything.’ There was a fear because there was a foreign body there, from moment to moment (…) and I waited. It was fear, denial… “I started venting.

Then the actor underwent tests that gave an account of the diagnosis and underwent surgery, which, in these cases, is the first procedure to be performed, and then left an “alert” for all the men.

“I removed the testicle, put on a prosthesis. (…) Who looks, can not distinguish and for me, it was a relief (…) and II really liked that the palpation was correct as in the case of women, I would like it to be the same (…) ”He said, updating his current state of health.

“I did the surgery, I still have the staples, I will do a CT scan, see if there are metastases, then complete the treatment (…) The doctor told me that I will have to undergo chemotherapy, which is a normal process, and if there are metastases, I should Follow another plan.”

Joao Lamuza was confident in his treatment, even though he was aware of the “seriousness” of the problem and ended up thanking all the professionals at the IPO and a fresh plea to all the men: “I wanted to tell men not to be afraid to touch their dye.”
