Abanca has notified the Competition Authority (AdC) of purchasing exclusive control of EuroBic, the regulator announced today.
“The concentration transaction consists of the acquisition by Abanca Corporación Bancaria of exclusive control of Banco BIC Português (EuroBic), through the acquisition of its entire share capital and related voting rights,” the information released by AdC said.
Credit institution Abanca, headquartered in A Coruña, Spain, has approximately 70 points of sale in Portugal.
EuroBic has around 200 business units and its largest shareholder is Santoro Financial Holding, which owns 25% of its capital.
