On Wednesday, Sergio Conceicao can equal the record of victories (215) for Jose Maria Pedroto at the helm of FC Porto. Therefore, they have to beat Arauca, in a match that starts at 21:15 and counts towards Round 14 of the Bwin League. Comparing coaches, Paulo Teixeira, former vice president and member of the Blue and Whites Supreme Council, says Pedroto was “unique”, while still praising Sergio Conceicao.
“Nothing can compare, not even two identical twin brothers. Both will go down in history, but they are two different personalities, at different times, and people may forgive me, I have a lot of respect for Sergio Conceicao, Pedroto will be our eternal coach,” he indicated in statements to Bola Branca. Of Sergio Conceicao, he spoke of “an excellent coach and an excellent human being”.
Also today, Pinto da Costa celebrates its 85th anniversary. “It is a wonderful day for someone who has dedicated his life to FC Porto and with whom I had the honor to work. It is rare, in the history of the club, that there will be someone with the record of permanence, titles and performances that Bento da Costa has. Therefore, he will remain our eternal president,” says Paulo Teixeira.
