During the Candidates’ Dinner, Marco Costa questioned Bernardo Sousa: “I ask a question honestly. I doubt it, you can love her as much as I love her but if you love her more then you don’t love her, neither you nor anyone else. Why do you think Mary needs money?”.
“She has a father who has a business who is the only butcher shop in the village, he has cows like hell, he has pigs, he has animals…” he added.
Bernardo Sousa began his explanation: “She’s always been drawing something hard and I thought it was really a need for her. That’s why I said. The prize is hers but people will run it. I don’t even touch it, that goes straight to my agent and my agent will create whatever you need.”.
