WLA woman has been arrested in Levin, France, for stealing jewelry from a dead woman who was at a funeral home, according to the BBC.

The 60-year-old woman was arrested after a police investigation after relatives of the deceased suspected theft of her property.

The detainee was seen at the funeral home apparently mourning the coffin and told relatives that she was a friend of the woman who died.

They left her alone by the coffin and when they came back they found the necklace, ring and earrings of her dead relative all gone.

French police discovered that the suspect lives near the funeral home and found the lost jewelry in her possession. Police later linked the woman to the theft of a body purse that was also in the same funeral home.

When searching the woman’s home, police officers found several reports of people dying in that area.

The suspect will appear in court next year.
