The candidate took the opportunity to highlight the “lack of space allocated for women” in the club

And in another session Porto style conversationsOn Sunday, Andre Villas-Boas presented the list of candidates for the FC Porto Supreme Council, highlighting the strong female presence.

“There are five women (Vitoria Matos [representada pelo marido]Ana Cristina Costa, Cristiana Vieira, Joana Carvalho and Catarina Bras Márquez) are on the list and represent several decades. The former Porto coach said, highlighting the lack of female presence in the club’s various sports: “Today they realize the responsibility and are confident that the dragon will soar with them.”

“This lack of space allocated for women in our club will require a great effort on our part,” he said at the nomination headquarters in Porto.

In this sense, André Villas-Boas reinforced the idea that his candidacy is based on “transparency.”

He continued: “This request must be made transparently, in order to understand the problems and concerns, in order to better meet expectations in the future, hoping that suggestions and issues related to the club will be presented to the management.”

FC Porto's current Supreme Council has no female representation, with only Matilda Maria de Passos Ribeiro on the alternate list.

The former FC Porto coach also noted that he “congratulates the Porto team on yesterday’s result,” hoping that they can “achieve the proposed goals and live up to the level of the club’s greatness.”

Andre Villas-Boas continues on Sunday with another visit to the home of FC Porto, in Argoncilah, Santa Maria da Feira.

The elections are scheduled to be held on April 27. Pinto da Costa (current president), André Villas-Boas and Nuno Lobo are the candidates.
