To escape the cold of the street, a bull broke into a shop window and made “his own ads.”

During the night, the stray dog crept into the store, lay down on a double bed and waited until the next morning.

Thor knew what he had to do.

Thor only had one chance, and he didn’t want to waste it. This month, when Anna Maria, The owner of Maristela, a fabric store in Santa Catarina, Brazil, locked up as she used to do every day, had no idea there was a four-legged intruder hidden, waiting for the perfect moment. When the lights were already out, Thor carefully left and prepared to spend the night there.

The next morning, however, the dog ends up asleep, being awakened by sunlight and several fans outside taking pictures of the unusual sight they find: a shop window with a dog in it. Thor took advantage of the attention to do his own advertising and stayed there until the first staff arrived. Then he quietly left the place and returned to the street.

What the intruder didn’t know was that photos and videos of the moment went viral on social media and Pluto Amigo, a local animal rescue group, decided to rescue him. “The whole city was talking about him, he did the advertising himself,” Adri Xica, one of the volunteers, told news site The Dodo. Everyone thought he was really cute. He even appeared on TV. A short time later, they found the little celebrity.

Thanks to the fame it has gained, many residents have shared stories with Al-Jahiz. One of them said that Thor used to feed some people and that he had taken refuge in a gas station in the area. However, with the advent of winter, he left in search of a more comfortable and warm home.

At the Society, Thor is very well received and wins an appointment with a local veterinarian. Juliana, one of the volunteers, made several appeals on Facebook and the big dog ended up winning over Lucas, the animal lover who accompanied the rescue group. Soon after, he went to get his new mate.

In the new house, Thor has his own couch to sleep on whenever he wants and even has some four-legged brothers. The house has a garden where the dogs are free and the bigeye gets along with all of them.

Although Thor was the first dog to conquer the Maristella, the store used to house stray cats and birds. However, Anna is willing to take in more dogs and the doors to the space are always open to those who are interested.
