Females are carriers of serious diseases such as dengue, yellow fever, Zika and chikungunya
The endemic disease control team of the Ministry of Health of Braco do Norte confirmed, in the late afternoon of Thursday (12), the first concentration of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito in 2023. The discovery took place in the Trevo neighborhood.
According to the team, even during the year-end holidays, monitoring work was carried out, as it is the most favorable period for the spread of disease vectors.
The endemic sector warns that the Aedes Aegypti mosquito is already present in Braço do Norte, however, since it breeds, it needs to find breeding areas, places that provide still water, and only prevention can alter the possible infestation.
Dengue is a serious disease for which there is no vaccine or specific treatment, only the symptoms can be treated.

The main symptoms of dengue are:
* High fever > 38.5°C.
* Severe muscle pain.
* Pain when moving the eyes.

* Headache.
Red spots on the body.
