uA family was picking up trash on a New Jersey beach in the US when they discovered a bottled letter that appeared to have fallen four years ago in Ireland.
According to Frank Bulger, he was collecting trash on the beach in the town of Wildwood with his wife and granddaughter when they discovered the object.
“We found the bottle in some seaweed right by the waterfront,” the man explained to IrishCentral. “We had to take the bottle home to see what was stuck in there,” he added.
According to Frank, the note was dated July 17, 2019 and was signed by someone named Aoife.
“Hello from Ireland,” read the paper. “I dropped this bottle in the sea so that one day someone would find it. Maybe I’ll travel to Africa or even Iceland. I don’t know if someone found it, but I hope it is found,” she will write. .
Hoping to find the author of the letter, the family shared photos from the letter with The Wildwood Sun by the Sea magazine.
