a The London Metropolitan Police confirmed on Friday that the body recovered from the River Thames was that of Abdul Yazidi, who had been wanted by British authorities since January 31.

“We have been working to formally identify the body. As you can expect, our investigation into this terrible attack will continue.”A commander responsible for the search operations said, quoted by Sky News.

The remains in question were found on February 19 by a boat crew in the river that runs through London, the city where the man had attacked at the end of the previous month a woman, believed to be his former partner, and her daughters. . . The attack was carried out using acid, and the authorities believed, from the beginning of the manhunt, that the attack was “targeted”.

Authorities also revealed that on the fifth day of the manhunt, there is a reward on the table. The attack left 12 people injured, and a woman's life was in danger.

According to Commander, John Saville, the 31-year-old woman is still in hospital – but is now stable and no longer sedated. At first, the woman found that her life was in danger. The official also said, citing the British press, that the authorities had not yet spoken to her, but would do so soon.

Other people were injured during the attack on Avenida Lesar in the British capital, including customers and some of the family's neighbors who tried to help.

Speaking to Sky News, a friend of the woman who was attacked said she had lost the sight in one eye, and that “she and the girls have a long way to go, physically and mentally.”

According to the same friend, the woman is making “great progress” and looks forward to being with her two daughters, aged three and eight.
