WIt comes about a week after the final of the most controversial version of Eurovision. Although the event has already reached its peak, controversy surrounding the festival still exists, most of which relates to Israel’s participation in the event.

It is worth noting that several delegations complained of being persecuted by the Israeli team. Among them were Greece, Switzerland, Ireland and the Netherlands backstage at the Malmo Arena.

Although it decided to maintain a more neutral stance, Spain, which Nebulosa represented, has now joined the list of complaints.

According to 20 Minutes, RTVE has already asked the festival organizers to guarantee freedom of expression after the Israeli press harassed a Spanish journalist. The delegation of the neighboring country tried to deal with this issue discreetly, but has now ended up announcing it.

And remember, Portugal’s complaint was also related to Yolanda’s performance not being published on social media after her performance, as happened with the other participants. The origin of this situation is that the Portuguese singer performed on stage with her nails painted in the style of the popular “keffiyeh”, a scarf considered a symbol of Palestinian resistance.

The Israeli delegation considers that it was the target of an “unprecedented display of hatred” by other countries and their competitors in the Eurovision Song Contest, which was held in Malmö, Sweden, between May 7 and 11. The 68th edition of the event was marked by protests – offstage and behind the scenes – against Israel’s participation, taking into account the scale of the conflict with Hamas.
