RIO – With less than a month left before the samba school performances in Sabukai, preparations have also reached the final stage. But since the parade doesn’t just consist of stands, scaffolding, feathers and sequins, the Municipal Health Department (SMS) is preparing a special emergency medical assistance scheme to help the public attending the Sambadrome rallies in April.

The Minister of Health of the City of Rio, Daniel Soranes, visited the barracks of the samba schools, and informed the structure that will be erected between the 20th, 24th and Saturdays of the hero (30). According to him, the medical centers will be located in sectors 1 (concentration), 2, 7, 8, 10 (Rua Salvador de Sá), 11 and Apoteosis (dispersal). The service structure will have clinical beds and advanced support; Teams made up of doctors, nurses and nursing technicians, in addition to administrative staff. He will be able to provide assistance for clinical and trauma cases. For patients with more severe cases, there will be ambulances with advanced support (mobile intensive care unit) to make the transfer, coordinated by the Municipal Regulation Centre, to hospitals or UPAs in the network.
