The Minister of State for Health of Amazonas (SES-AM), Anwar Samad, received on Thursday (17/02) the Secretary of Health of the Municipality of Baririnha (331 kilometers from Manaus), Pericles Tavares Vieira Filho. The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of SES-AM, on Avenida André Araujo, in the central and southern region of the capital, was aimed at planning actions targeting the health field of the municipality.

“Under the guidance of Governor Wilson Lima, we are always close to the municipalities and attentive to the needs of the municipal administrators. We will analyze the demands of Pririnha Hospital and do our best to support and promote health in any way necessary,” said Anwar Samad.

The Barreirinha Municipal Health Minister made demands to strengthen the service at Coriolano Cidade Lindoso Hospital and thanked the state government for its support and concern inside.

Pericles said, “We took the opportunity to meet with Secretary Dr. Anwar Samad and present our proposals to him to improve the health field in our municipality.”

Investments – In 2021, the Amazonas government released R$160 million in resources from the Fund for the Promotion of Tourism, Infrastructure, Services and Inland Development for Amazonas (FTI) for 61 municipalities.

With this relocation, the municipalities expanded their measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as ensure investments and improve the health supply for residents of the interior. With these resources, municipalities are better structuring themselves to deliver more robust health.
