From today onwards, the schedule of national visas for residence, temporary residence, job search or family reunification in Portugal will include new vacancies opened daily on the VFS Global website. This change aims to improve the availability of vacancies, and to respond to the increasing demand for these types of visas.
According to a statement posted on the Facebook page of the Embassy of Portugal in Cape Verde, “In order to improve the availability of vacancies for scheduling national visas for residence, temporary residence, job search or family reunification in Portugal, it has been decided to change the vacancies provided on the VFS Global scheduling website.
This measure follows those implemented in August 2023, when the Portuguese Embassy in Cape Verde, faced with a significant increase in demand for work visas, announced the creation of the position of Labour Attaché. This person’s mission is to closely monitor all consular matters related to national visas, ensuring a more efficient and comprehensive response to the needs of applicants.

This change aims to reduce delays and difficulties faced by citizens requiring entry visas to Portugal, providing a more convenient and efficient service.
