Physical activities are highlighted by national and international research as a source of physical and mental health. As reported by Globo Repórter, last Friday (24), the national study was conducted on students using attention, mathematics and memory testing; International researchers have listed the activities as important supplements to combat depression.

Global studies also determine that interval training, dancing, weight training and walking are the supplements responsible for combating depression.

Globo’s interviewer, health sciences professor Lucas Nieves, a relationship analyst for the past 40 years, found the recipe for recovery from depression. According to him, after studying 2000 studies on the case: training three or more times a week, for antidepressant effects, the study also showed.

The study is carried out using HIIT, a type of rapid and intense interval training, because after the effort of physical activity in the body comes the physiological response, with emotional and cognitive regulation.

Physical activities and Alzheimer’s disease prevention

Unicamp conducted the study on two groups, to test the relationship: first, those who practiced weight training twice a week, for one hour daily; Second: He did not engage in the activity.

Throughout this process, studies have shown that the group that works on the body’s muscles ensures brain health. Here lies the antidote against degenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease.

In the same first group, consisting of 51 people, there were already people with mild cognitive impairment at first, but after six months of testing exercises, the results of the memory and reasoning tests surprised the team. The test was performed by a neuropsychologist.
