Ozzy Osbourne will bid farewell to fans with 2 concerts in the UK
The news was shared by his wife Sharon Osbourne, who revealed some details about the musician's frail health.
The singer will say goodbye to the stage after 50 years.
75-year-old Ozzy Osbourne is preparing to retire from the stage. The musician, also known as the “Prince of Darkness”, was born on December 3, 1948 in Birmingham (United Kingdom) and will perform twice in his hometown to say goodbye to his fans.
His wife and manager Sharon Osbourne shared the news with Rolling Stone UK. “Ozzy won't be touring anymore, but we plan to play two more shows to say goodbye. It feels like he never said goodbye to his fans, and he wants to do it in the most appropriate way,” he added.
“His voice is still perfect. He has a series of melodies in his head. Even if they don't like the music, they can't say they don't like Ozzy”, Sharon highlighted about the singer, songwriter and leader of the iconic heavy metal band Black Sabbath.
Last year, Osbourne canceled a tour due to a back injury (one of many complications resulting from a severe fall that limited her in 2019). Despite the cancellation of the tour, he still promised to “give more concerts before giving up”.
“My voice is fine. However, through three surgeries, stem cell treatments, endless physiotherapy sessions and most recently, Cybernex (HAL) treatment, my body is physically weak,” Ozzy Osbourne wrote on Instagram at the time. The musician was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in January 2020, which has significantly affected Osbourne's ability to move.
