“Our Christmas is a fusion”

Married to model Astrid Werdnig, of Austrian origin, the couple and their two daughters, Chloe and Zoe, usually spend a year in Portugal and another in Austria, the country in which they will live this year.

Regarding traditions, the actor ensures that they combine Portuguese and Austrian. “We have a mix, our Christmas is a mix, just like our kitchen at home, it's a little bit of what we like here and there, and Christmas is the same thing.”He mentioned, then speaking about the differences between the two countries.

“In Austria, they don't usually put up the Christmas tree like we do, they do it on the 24th. There, as in a region with many mountains and lakes, we have the possibility to go as a family to look for a natural tree and bring it back – because the forests also have to be cleaned.” He says between laughs that they are not taking the tree from an unknown land. “We will not steal a tree from anyone,” he continues. This is from the land of a friend of ours and he is going with us too!”

Finally, the actor revealed the food he would take from Portugal because he thought it couldn't be missing from the table: cod. He concluded by saying, “I love him and Astrid loves him more than me.”
