These events are held with a focus on engaging young people to be an active part of society in relation to current global challenges.

The Sustainability Journey, which runs from June 22 to July 1 at Nova SBE University, focuses on the school’s purpose of reimagining the principles of management science, economics, and politics, along with the institutional ecosystem. During these two weeks, the main objective is to introduce sustainability best practices with the participation of students, educators, researchers and companies. Nova SBE’s sustainability journey includes around 30 different events and initiatives with local and international partners and speakers.

Finally, the Supermassive event, taking place on October 27-28, which introduces people to exponential technologies, such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, found in everyday life. Technology is an important component of economic, social, cultural and industrial development, and this meeting, co-organized by Nova SBE and SingularityU Portugal, aims to prepare companies for the future of business.

The event will feature lectures by ten local and international speakers, including David Roberts (Innovation and Turbulence), Laila Paulak (Influential Leadership), Arash Azami (The Future of Energy) and Eduardo Ibrahim (Exponential Economics), as well as immersive experiences and a hackathon.
