One thing is certain: Nintendo A successor to Converts – It was launched in 2017. After rumors, it confirmed on Tuesday, 7th of this month, that it will announce the next model by March 2025, when its current fiscal year ends.
Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa, after releasing the numbers to investors, posted a note on the subject on his social networks.

“We will make an announcement about the successor to the Nintendo Switch this fiscal year. It has been more than nine years since we announced the existence of the Nintendo Switch in March 2015.
Elsewhere, the Big N leader announced a second semester news show.
“We will be holding a Nintendo Direct conference in June about the Nintendo Switch software lineup for the second half of 2024, but please know that there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation.”

Nintendo Switch has reached the mark of 141 million consoles sold worldwide and 1.23 million pieces of software sold.
This model is historically behind only the Nintendo DS (154 million) and PlayStation 2 (155 million).
