Microsoft is developing Edge, monitoring the competition and what it promises in various areas. Proof of this is now visible in a new feature being tested on Edge, which is clearly inspired by what Google brought to the Pixel and Galaxy S24. We're talking about going searching.

Microsoft Edge Search Galaxy S24

One of the most prominent new features that Samsung included in the Galaxy S24 was the search circle. Using the S-Pen or their fingers, users can choose what they want to search for online, even using artificial intelligence to help in the process. However, Google has also added this new feature to Android 14 and Pixel smartphones.

With all this attention, Microsoft seems to have realized what path to take. So, on Edge, the software giant is incorporating something new. We're talking about being able to circle around an area to get a photo that will then be searched on the Internet, providing more information.

From what can be seen, Microsoft will call this new option something that almost makes sense. The new function of Copilot will be called "Circle to Copilot". This will appear in the chatbot's mouse gestures configuration menu, as can be seen in the screenshot shown below.

It seems simple to use, according to some of the information already shared. Simply use your mouse, as you would on Android with a stylus or finger, to select and select what you want to find. It is usually used in images, which makes searching easier.

This is still far from reality, and hence it still exists in the Canary version of Edge. What's even more ridiculous is that it doesn't even have an associated tag, as it has to use an additional tag in the command for the option to appear in the settings to be activated in this Microsoft browser.

With this new feature, Microsoft can leapfrog a lot of competitors and give Edge something that will eventually become the standard soon. Google speeds up the search process, seen on the Galaxy S24 and now on the Pixel, by simply tagging what you want to search for, starting with a simple photo.
