MAR Shopping Algarve once again raises awareness of men's health

MAR Shopping Algarve is promoting the seventh edition of its “Block It Like a Gentleman” campaign to support men’s health, particularly in prostate cancer prevention and mental health.

Hey Mar Shopping Algarve Announces the return of the “Block It Like a Gentleman” campaign, a solidarity initiative focused on men’s health, which takes place from May 4 to 19 in… Meeting place.

The seventh edition of this campaign aims to enhance the importance of prostate cancer prevention and men’s mental health, by displaying PSA tests, which are performed in… HPA Health Clinic. In addition to the displays, the event will include several activities, including DGR and Triumph motorcycle exhibitions, which will take place between April 30 and May 19. The work of artist Joao Jesus, known for reusing parts from motorcycles, bicycles and cars in his metal creations, will also be on display.

The “Block it like a Gentleman” campaign is once again linked to the international project The distinguished journey of Mrwhich on May 19 will host a vintage motorcycle tour, departing from Faro to the MAR Shopping Algarve.

The event concludes with live music, from 2pm to 8pm, in the hotel's entertainment area Meeting place. All participants will also be able to record the moment and take photos of their motorcycles in one place Photo wall Created for this purpose.

Since its launch, this initiative has recorded 1,470 PSA tests, leading to the early detection and treatment of many cases of prostate cancer. In the past two years, five percent of the 449 tests performed have resulted in 22 people being referred for appropriate treatment.
