Madonna has already arrived in Lisbon and wants to go to Fatima to thank her for returning to the stage
She expressed her desire to visit the sanctuary to thank her for her recovery from the infection that transferred her to intensive care last June.
After suffering a scare in June this year due to an injury that put her “Celebration Tour” in jeopardy, Madonna is more than ready to perform at the Altice Arena, in Lisbon, on November 6 and 7, Monday and Tuesday. The Queen of Pop arrived in Portugal on Friday, November 3, to prepare for her upcoming concerts, but she also has other plans – she wants to visit the Shrine of Fatima.
The artist arrived on a private plane, at around eight in the evening, from Barcelona, where she performed two shows as part of the tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her artistic career. The singer will reside at the Pestana Palace, The hotel where he also stayed when he was in the capital to celebrate his 65th birthday, in August of this year, according to Expresso.
In addition to the two shows, Madonna plans to visit Fatima to thank her for her recovery from a serious bacterial infection. Which put her in intensive care last July. A health problem prompted the artist to postpone the start of the tour.
“The first thing I thought about, when I woke up in the hospital, was my kids. My second thought was that I didn’t want to disappoint everyone who bought tickets to my tour,” he admitted at the time. “I also didn’t want to disappoint everyone who had worked with me over the past few months preparing for the show. I hate people who disappoint.”
After the second concert in Lisbon, Madonna still has four free days before resuming the tour on the 12th of this month in Paris, so she will be able to visit the sanctuary at that time.
