Zelensky’s visit to the United States faced controversy over the huge American debt that threatens the work of basic services. The Ukrainian president asks for money to fight against Putin, but the (Republican) Speaker of the House of Representatives wants to know where the Kiev government spent the 70 billion euros in humanitarian, financial and military aid sent by the United States.

Shortly before leaving for the United States, Volodymyr Zelensky predicted a request for increased financial and military aid to Ukraine in an interview with “60 Minutes” in Kiev. The CBS media program, which is watched by an average of 10 million viewers each week, was broadcast at 7 pm local time last Sunday, the day before the arrival of the Ukrainian head of state.

Zelensky continued to broadcast his message on television in the first hours of the tour, when visiting Ukrainian soldiers entered a hospital in New York. “It’s inspiring to see so many people recovering so quickly,” he told PIX11, the largest regional news channel. Everyone is eager to return to the front line. Glory to Ukraine!” The cameras immediately turned to the injured, who shouted: “Glory to the heroes!”
